Favourite Albums Survey

By signing the guestbook, you also have the opportunity to take part in an ongoing survey of people's favourite Project-related albums. The current incarnation of the guestbook allows you to vote for all albums up to The Time Machine (chronologically speaking).

The previous guestbook had a slightly more limited range of albums, and the results of that survey are presented below. These are the cumulative scores of 1134 voters, collected over a period of two and a half years!

Tales Of Mystery And Imagination (2257 points)
I Robot (1736 points)
Pyramid (1452 points)
Eve (643 points)
The Turn Of A Friendly Card (2724 points)
Eye In The Sky (2429 points)
Ammonia Avenue (1135 points)
Vulture Culture (738 points)
Stereotomy (539 points)
Gaudi (764 points)
Try Anything Once (868 points)
On Air (885 points)
Freudiana (522 points)
Gaudi (The Musical) (154 points)
Ladyhawke (164 points)

Notes:

In first place we have The Turn Of A Friendly Card which is a result that few people would argue with. This is closely followed by Eye In The Sky which was the Project's biggest commercial success, and then Tales Of Mystery And Imagination - the classic album which started it all. I Robot and Pyramid also find themselves in a strong position, suggesting that it is the earlier Project albums which are closest to people's hearts.

Eve (Alan's least favourite album) and Stereotomy fight it out for last place within the Project albums.

Alan's first two solo albums, Try Anything Once and On Air put in a strong showing - particularly considering that the latter had only just been released when this survey began.

Eric's two albums, Freudiana and Gaudi don't perform quite so well. This isn't entirely surprising as both albums are rather tricky to locate. Freudiana in particular deserves to do much better - if you don't have this album, go and buy it now!
