Great to see many other Alan Parsons Project fans out there. Not all that many of us here in Australia. The music contentent in their tracks are absolutely superb. They acquire a sound only unique to their own music. I love Andrew Powell's classical input into the music. Keep up the great work. Another new album similar to Tales of Mystery would be great for the new millenium.

I think instrumental works by The Alan Parson's Project is the best. Mostly The Fall Of The House Of Usher and all from I Robot. I also love sweet balads with acoustic guitar, and mostly those sung by Eric. Narrations by Wells in Tales are cool, and the lyrics based on Poe's works make the disc a masterpiece.

I've always admired Alan Parsons because he's always got his own production sound on everything he's involved in. One can't mistake him for someone else. And that's the trademark of a real composer/artist/producer. In my humble opinion, of course.

aaarrrrggghhh.... having collected all Alan Parsons Project
albums through-out the 80's I'm shocked to see titles that I don't have or haven't
even heard of. I'm not worthy. Please, someone help me.I need to have these albums...
cd's, tape even vinyl. They are Try Anything Once, On Air, Freudiana and Woolfsons
musical. I was aware of Ladyhawke as a sound track
but never followed it up....so sue me.

I saw Alan Parson At the Reno Hilton last year and they opened up for someone else I can't even remember who they were but I was only there to see Alan Parsons Project anyways, but I was so disappointed because APP was so short compared to the other band and APP were so much better. But the year befor that I saw them without another band and I have never heard a group in concert sound more cd perfect and I can honestly say they were the best concert I have ever been to and everyone I was with agreed.

It's a pleasure to find such a site as yours.
Although one could classify it as a "fan" site,
clearly it is written by intelligent adults.
I presume that things are different in the UK, for
if you ask most Americans if they are familiar with
the Alan Parsons Project, most are clueless. Being
an Alan Parsons "fan" in the US is a lonely business
indeed, at least in my experience.
For me, his music has been the background music for my
adult life and the catalyst for my hobby: audio
engineering.
Keep up the efforts - I'll be back.

Quite frankly, and despite the seemingly all inclusiveness

As an irremdiable Beatles fan, I´ve known the art of Alan Parsons, and his musical project is amazing. His music represents so much for me that I could only say that it´s mandatory!

If anyone has any questions about any of the orignal records, I have a copy of EVERY album buy the Project on record (Including the orignal Tales of Mystery and Imagination) Don't ask for MP3's, I don't have any of the CD's (Except the new version of Tales). I thought it might be interusting to point out, Tales was also released by 20th-Century Fox in 1976 with Different artwork then the orignal album.

I have been a fan of APP since 1979, when I got I Robot. As an amateur keyboardist and recording engineer, I've always used the Prject as a benchmark of musical and recording excellence. I'm slowly replacing my vinyl with CD, but I Robot and Eye in the Sky are dubious transfers, with dropouts on Robot, and digital overload on Eye in the Sky. (Arista pressings of course, still waiting for their comment on this!)

The first album I bought was "Ammonia Avenue": I was 14 years old, but I've been listening Parsons' music since "The turn of..." when I was 11 years old. This means I grew up listening at his music. It's not so easy to choose my top five albums.
I think it's a sin that "The Alan Parsons Project" was dissolved.

I have more doubts:
I always thought Pink Project was a temporally fussion between Pink Floyd and Alan Parsons..
What a mistake!!
And I thought Eric Woolfson was the man who sung live in Germany the songs Old and wise and Eye in the sky.
Now I understand it was Colin Blunstone. He really sung Eye in the sky as Eric Woolfson did in the record !!
He has the same voice !! I'm very confused.
Anyway, those songs I've wrote before are a very special songs for me, I need them to live, specially Time and Silence and I. They are everlasting incredible songs.
I'd like to know some guitar chords from some songs to play them. Is there any page?

I remember when I was 7 and 8 years old. My father bought
The turn of the friendly card on vinyl. I loved the album
and still do. A couple a months later Eye in the sky came
out on record. I went to see a concert of them
on september of 95 in Orlando Florida. The concert
was the best one I have ever been to. Im 21 most people
think I am too young to listen to this stuff but I find
Alan Parsons music an experience. Whats cool is the
college football team Nebraska Cornhuskers are using his
Sirius for the opening of games. Alan Parsons is one of
my favorite bands.

I have loved APP's music for 10 years now, and collected all the albums i could find. They were fantastic together, it's a shame that these guys stopped so early. Hi Alistair

My name is Paul White and I'm very lucky in that I 've not only met Alan Parsons but have the great honour of working with him on a new album called "The Thinking Rock". I work as an assistant producer for a record company called Carrera Recordings and the band who are working with Alan are called Iconic Phare.
Quite a few AP fans already know a little about this album and our company's association with Alan - although at the time the news first came out the band was called Millenia - I think a recent problem with a similarly named band (grunge metal!! - would you believe?) from America caused the name change.

Alan is the Executive Producer for "The Thinking Rock" (a limited edition pre-release version came out earlier this year under the name Millenia) and it really is going to be a stunning and very grand production of a very powerful album - quite reminiscent of Alan's albums in certain ways but nicely different in others - I've been a fan of APP for about 10 years and know all the albums! So far - I've worked with Alan at Abbey Road and also our label's studio in Wales and it has been brilliant working alongside such a gentleman - he really is a great chap and extremely talented. I also had the chance to join him behind the scenes at the "Night of the Proms" concerts last year which was a really good experience - I'd like to correspond with other AP fans who find my letter of interest so if anyone wants to talk more.. please feel free to email me....keep up the good work - Paul White -

Here, in Argentina, the people don't know very much AP. His records and music aren't very usually played on radio. But for the people who know him (like the other people on this book) he is simply a genius. The Beatles were for me the best for fouteen years, but then came AP, and together are the most exciting artist in rock music

Alan Parsons Project is the best kind of rock music in the world.I've been listening their songs

Been a fan of AAP since "77" when "I Robot" was released...lived in Vegas then....a 18 year old in search of himself and life.....I had travelled extensively through the US from 14 on and when this album came out....I'd stick it in tape player and drive up to the mountains....It was a trip unto itself!! (It could have been the great drugs too! Perhaps???....Ha! Ha!)
Anyway....I've never seen AAP live and last year in Seattle AAP was here and I didn't hear anything about the show until the day after!!
Man was I PO'd.....I may never have another chance......But Hey!...The Music lives on!

My wife and I went to see Alan Parsons in concert with YESat the Deer Creek Music Center in Indianapolis, IN. We bought the tickets the day they went on sale. The tickets read the concert would start at 7:30 p.m.. We arrived in our seats at 7:35 and Alan Parsons was doing there last song of the night. I was irate. I went to speak with the box office. They gave me free tickets to another concert but I may never have the opportunity to see Alan Parsons again. Other people had the misfortune of seeing this show for the very same reason. There was one elderly lady, 65 or so, in tears. She had driven 3 hours to see the show that was already over. It was a real shame.

Caught the show with Parsons and Yes. Wish the parsons set was longer, but at least I got to see one of my idols live on stage.

I finally saw my idol "Alan Parson" on stage a few months ago here in Ýstanbul. It was one of the best days of my life cause my favorite musician was a few meters away from me. It was really kewl. The only thing i missed was the old stuff.

I own every CD of APP and Parson. I am 27 years old and i am a real fan of the band more than one decade. I used to work as a DJ on radio stations for many years (when I was younger), and I used to play some APP stuff every night on air. People that have never heard of the band started to listen and buy APP after those shows. I know it from those letters that i was receiving everyday. I was very glad for that and still am.

Now i work as an engineer (by the way, i used to play guitar in many bands and we enjoyed to play APP with our own cover sounds), and not find enough time to listen or read about them.

If anybody reading this message knows anything about APP mailing lists (if there is), please inform me as soon as possible.

Saw Alan Parsons in Memphis a couple of weeks ago and was totally blown away. I have been a fan for a long time now and feel that music is the key that opens the door to the soul. Alan Parsoms has opened my soul. The music is inspirational and timeless. This concrert was the first time for me to see the band live and after the concert I told my wife that if I never see another concert again it wouldn't matter. It was awsome. I only wish they could be the headliner. I could picture the band on a full stage setup with an orcestra in the background to fill all the spaces that needed it. I want more and I want to see them play again. The show lasted 1 hour and was not even long enough. But I can't complain. I will never forget it. I hope I will be able to purchase more new Alan Parsons in the years to come.

Hi everyone!
I saw the band play live in May in Milan. What a show... It was a magical night!
And I was lucky enough to meet the boys after the show... it was faaantastic! Ian is a real nice person, and Neil too. Alan was... well, it is simply too difficult to describe the sensation. I only hope to see them live again soon. They told me they had too fun and surely it will be so, maybe after the next studio album... COMING IN 1999!!!

I have just seen Alan in concert for the first time and was completely blown away. They were opening for YES. YES who I say.

My family and I got to see their show in Memphis,TN. It was fantastic. My only complaints are that it was way too short (he should play ALL his songs :)) and they started a little early. I didn't wanna miss a thing. I wouldn't have missed that for anything.

In 1993, I purchased Try Anything Once after hearing Turn It Up on a local radio station. Since then, I've been buying every Alan Parsons CD that I can get my hands on! Everything that he puts out is great and I am looking forward to his new one soon!

Saw the Live Project open up for Yes on July 15. The music was great. The crowd loved it and wanted a lot more. The only problem was that they were only able to play for about an hour. I hope that Alan and The Gang got the message. They could come to Salt Lake and many other cities in the U.S., I'm certain, and they would sell out on their own. Still, I am grateful for that hour. My husband and I are unconditional fans. We adore every Alan´s work. It´s imposible for us to pick up a favourite song, because all of them are masterpieces. We don´t think that Alan Parsons is a dinosaurious as it is said in the media in Spain. We think he is eternal; Alan´s songs have no age.
